1 – How would you describe each host of the show in two sentences or less?
We are 4 friends that live in Ohio and West Virginia. To describe each host Preheatedcrab: hype, Desertfury (Kmart): neopolitan ice cream, Raburt0: chill, Jummitt: Grumpy/goofy/sarcastic
2 – How long have you been recording your podcast? and what’s your release schedule?
We have been recording for roughly 7 months and we release episodes on a Bi-Weekly basis.
3 – Why did you start your podcast?
We just wanted to be able to share our thoughts on different subjects, we love to play together and our conversations get pretty crazy we thought why not record it and see what happens.
4 – What is The Real Dudes podcast about?
We generally talk about Gaming and gaming news and anything related to the gaming community (video game music, trends, social topics, etc) we tried talking about movies and it bombed.
5 – What gear do you use (mics, mixers, computer, etc)?
Since we don’t record in person each person has their own gear: We use Studio One 3 for editing the show and Xbox Party chat on Windows 10 or Skype to talk to each other for each show. Jummits: PC, audacity, and an Audio Technica ATR2100 mic. Desertfury: PC, Audacity, Blue Yeti mic, Blender (for YouTube uploads). Raburt0/Preheatedcrab: Audio Technica AT2020 mic plugged into a Presonus Audio Box. Preheatedcrab: ATR2500 USB, Audacity and HP 2 in 1.
6 – What other podcasts do you enjoy listening to?
Jummitt enjoys to listen to Crucible radio and Destiny Ghost Stories. Desertfury enjoys IGNs podcast Unlocked, Nintendo Voice Chat and Order 66. Raburt0 enjoys IGN Podcast Unlocked, This American Life, Game Scoop and Radio Lab. Preheatedcrab enjoys Crucible Radio, Lore, NPR and Car Talk.
