This will give you a chance to see what others are doing in the podcasting space and hopefully give you an idea to start or improve your show. Find out the why and the how behind it all. Don’t just take it from one host/show, learn from many.
In our first feature, we’d like to introduce you to Shawn Fuller of the Horribly Awkward Podcast. Currently, he’s part of the BS Podcast Network. If you listen to any of his episodes, you can tell Shawn really enjoys what he’s doing. And that’s really what it’s all about.

How would you describe each host of the show in two sentences or less?
I’m a solo podcaster, hard worker and dedicated to delivering you a great show every week.
How long have you been recording your podcast? and what’s your release schedule?
I have been recording the Horribly Awkward Podcast since Oct 2015. I try to get at least one ep out by Sunday every week, sometimes a mid week show.
Why did you start your podcast?
I started this podcast because I have always dealt with crippling social anxiety. Ever since I was very young I’ve feard social situations and missed out on a lot of things because of it.
What is your podcast about?
My podcast is about getting to know people. People from all kings of different walks of life. i.e. podcasters, friends, actors/actresses, musicians, authors, comedians. I try to bring them into a casual setting to just hang out for a bit.
What gear do you use (mics, mixers, computer, etc)?
I am using a i7 Asus desktop, Blue microphone’s Yeti mic and various programs like OBS, Skype and Audacity
What other podcasts do you enjoy listening to?
I listen to a ton of podcasts while I work. Some of my favorites (but not limited to) are Zombiecast, Horrible Gamers, Random Ramblings w/ Rob, Random Chatterings, Bad Cop Bad Cop Show, Ice and the Face, Tell Me Stories, Three is Comedy, Is Anyone There?, The Gaming Outsider. I could list probably 30 more, but I’ll stop there.
Anything you’d like to add?
I’ve made a lot of friendships and connections through podcasting. I’ve had some of the best conversations in the world and got support from the coolest people out there. Podcasting has literally CHANGED MY LIFE in a very positive way. I think everyone has a voice to be heard and a hobby they love. Everyone should give podcasting a shot and let there voice be heard. There are millions of people out there listening to podcasts and an infinite amount of ideas to explore. Your life is unique…PODCAST IT!
